People try to escape responsibility

Deny God, sin and salvation; Blame others; Deviant behavior

Mitigating Circumstances "To make or become less severe, harsh, etc."

God's Law not strictly applied or justified to change to suit circumstances.
Excuses do not mitigate circumstances. Lk 14:15-24

Man-made mitigating circumstances

God will not punish the ignorant

Sprinkling for immersion because of sickness
Man going to be baptized and tree falls on him
Divorce for alcoholic, abuse, spirituality
Congregational responsibility
Company comes; Tired; Work; I've been mistreated
Changing society needs changing church and gospel
Remain in adultery because of children
